Our Objective & Policy
Dachshunds are wonderful companions that have a long lifespan and can live up to 15 years or more. CBWags4u Dachsies will offer our support throughout your companion's life.
CBWags4u Dachsies main objective is to place puppies and adults in the best fit environment as companions first. We will take sincere and thoughtful consideration to offer "show" potentials to specially selected homes.
We carefully plan each litter striving to achieve Dachshunds that are outstanding in health & genetics, temperament, and conformation.
CBWags4u Dachsies uses only quality products for the proper nutrition, and health care of our Dachshunds. We provide each Dachshund Puppy and our Adults with preventitive disease shots, routine worming - this includes heartworm prevention, flea/tick prevention, and Avid Microchip identification.
We work closely with our Veterinarian for routine care including physical exams of adults and puppies.
We love each of the dachsies, and they are all a part of our family. When we decide to release an adult from our home - we are happy to discuss placement or adoption of these special Dachsies with you, but must remind you that the choice of adopting an adult requires a lot of time, patience, and love to work through the adjustment to the new home.
Owning a pet is a lifelong emotional and financial responsibility. When looking for a pet for a family with young children - we recommend that you consider adopting a puppy that can grow up with your family - that is our opinion, and we will help you with any questions or concerns about bringing home your new companion.
Our customers are provided with a written contractual agreement outlining our policy and support to you throughout the life of your Dachshund.
CBWags4u Dachsies requires a $200 non-refundable deposit for companions - the fee is applied to the total purchase price to hold a puppy until the arranged time of pick up or shipment. The fee for a companion dachshund is $700. The fee for a show potential is discussed with each individual request.
CBWags4u Dachsies sincerely appreciates our customers, and we have developed a personalized care package that you receive with your Miniature Dachshund puppy or adult - the care package includes a copy of your contract, a pedigree, lots of information on how to raise and train your puppy, ample food (approximately 2 lbs) for coming home, treats, a toy, and a handmade blanket.
All of our litters are registered with American Kennel Club, and a registration document will be provided for each Miniature Dachshund that is adopted from CBWags4u Dachsies breeding program. Our companion puppies are provided with Limited AKC registration documents which will be mailed to the owners after they have provided CBWags4u Dachsies with a letter of proof or a detailed receipt which explains that their pet has been spayed or neutered. (The information provided as proof of spay or neuter must have the name, address, and phone number of the Veterinarian performing the service.)
We ask for your understanding, and respect our policy regarding registration of all of our dachshunds - we find it offensive when asked about offering a puppy for placement without papers - this is not the practice of a reputable breeder.
Customers who are looking for "Show Companion" or are seeking to include our lines into their breeding program must interview with us, and be able to provide acceptable references for our approval. We choose not to offer full registration unless we are assured that there is a serious interest to participate in American Kennel Club sporting events.
Please note that we do not wish to accept a deposit until there is a puppy or adult available. We do not refund deposits - should a life changing event occur preventing adoption - these fees never expire.
All shipping fees must be received 10 days prior to the arranged flight. When shipping is the only option - we will only ship using an airline with counter to counter service. On many occasions customers have flown in to our nearby airport to pick up their puppy - this is an OUTSTANDING way for the new addition to travel - In all cases we will not release a puppy until they are over 12 weeks in age!
