Available Companion Dachshunds

 

CBWags4u Dachsies live in our home - so they understand life as a pet - they have a very happy life here - playing outside with lots of attention from us and all the best care possible.  When we place up for adoption one of our adult dachshunds we are hoping to find them their unique forever home.

 

Most of the adult dachshunds that are available for adoption are placed between the age of one to five years.

 

How do we decide?  It is never an easy choice to put one of our adult dachshunds up for adoption, but we believe that there are very special people out there who can make a new forever home - showering them individually with love and attention. We take our time deciding the right fit for each adult so that they may continue having many more years of the best life possible!

 

Our adults are placed as pet companions with a spay/neuter contract, and we prefer thatanyone wishing to adopt one of our adult dachshunds come to our home to meet their new LIFETIME friend. We reserve the right to refuse placement based on our experience, and the needs of each individual dog.

 

We welcome visits by appointment, and request that an adoption questionnaire be completed by each individual or family prior to your appointment to visit our home.

 

Many times adopting an adult dachshund can mean starting over with training, and we ask that you please consider this as an important bit of information. We believe that adult can make a wonderful pet if this is understood, and that it will take a lot of love and patience!

 

Our dogs understand basic obedience - commands that are given verbally, and with hand signals.  They are leash trained. Positive feedback for good behavior is the best reward, and we shower our dachshunds with lots of love!

 

Each of our dachshunds has their indiividual crate - this is their "safe place or bed". They have a very good understanding of going potty outside in the yard. We have a doggy door installed, and they use this when it is necessary. In our home they behave well for us, but because there can be behavior slips when a dog is placed in a new home environment -

 

WE CANNOT GUARANTEE POTTY TRAINING.

 

 

 

Moment  - "Moe"

Moe is a very friendly fellow that has grown up at Cedarhurt Dachshunds.  Moment has started obedience training, and is available for a companion home - he will be around 13 lbs when fully grown, and gets along well with other dachshunds.  Please contact Jean Jasinsky at Cedarhurst Dachshunds - 218-929-2902 or jeanj@northlc.com  if you would like to meet this fine boy, and consider him for your special companion.

Felicity - Born - March 5, 2008

Felicity is a loving girl - she gets along with all our dachshunds...but she prefers to be a bed bug with one of us! Felicity is spayed, house, crate, & lead trained. I believe that Felicity has many options for adoption - family or individual so long as she can be the other spoiled "child"...Adoption Questionnaire is necessary to adopt one of our adults. We do not ship adults - those considering adoption must come to visit, and bond with the available adult. Please contact me if you would like to consider this very special adult.
